Why does JavaScript hide content from AI search?
Google renders JavaScript, but most AI crawlers, including those behind ChatGPT search, Perplexity and Claude, read the HTML your server sends and stop there. If your text is added later by React, Vue or a page builder's scripts, these crawlers see an empty shell and have nothing to cite.
How do I fix a page that looks empty here?
- Turn on server-side rendering or static generation in your framework (Next.js, Nuxt, Astro, SvelteKit, Angular SSR).
- On a client-only React or Vue app, prerender your public pages at build time.
- In page builders, move key text out of embeds, iframes and images into normal text blocks.
